I've often thought Fender SS amps are underrated, but isn't £200 a bit rich? (Then again, you were shopping in You-know-where.)

Ah, I figured red knob amps were all transistors for some reason.

Maybe a bargain, then. (Probably not, being from you-know-where!) :D

it's one of those amps that's difficult to say because reverb prices are all over the place (see any old wem amps) but these go for £300-500 in better condition so i got a good deal. my work is right next to a place that re-covers seats (i'm not going to attempt to spell that word) so if the golden shower nike grille ever annoys me, i can just drop it off there.

“Golden shower Nike grille” :D :D :D :-X :k

That is simultaneously the most amazing & horrifying description I’ve ever read.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

That amp is amazing. The blue snakeskin (!) (I only remember seeing gray snakeskin). Weird that Fender chose have the blue + red knobs?
The grille cloth however is the stuff of nightmares.

i should mention, i'm 90% sure the tolex on this isn't factory. it's really bad in some places (one of the corners is nasty AF)

Is there anyway you can find out the factory specs for these?

You need a Lidl jumper and sneakers to go with it...

£200 is a pretty good deal these days (provided you're colour-blind). I passed on one that was offered to me for €300 a couple years ago and I've been kicking myself since. They're fun (not so) little amps.
