Guess they skipped over VI right to Adrian's Revenge.

As much as I do tend to like Mesa amps, the over-complication of the last few generations really leaves me cold. I'd love to see them offer another proper Mark I reissue.

The Fillmore and the California looked interesting to me but man the demos make them sound so bland.

No, children, your education is important! Roman numerals...etc...whatever, I tried.
As for the Mark VII reveal, I am sufficiently whelmed. I had a Mark V awhile back that was diminishing returns, given that it had a million controls but I settled on 2-3 sounds and never touched the knobs again. The Mark VII seems to be even more of that.
I bought a Fractal Axe FX 3 a few years ago and never looked back. I can get several convincing Mark series tones from it for less than half the price of a modern Mesa, plus every other amp/effect that is models.

I saw this. I’ve been wanting a Mesa so bad lately.

Apparently number VI was/is a "secret prototype" according to that webpage.
