The missuhs won this edition of "most epic christmas gift" by a large margin!

The result of a very subtle and splendidly executed prodding campaign by extracting the information she needed to know via friends of mine. The missuhs does not know a thing about musical gear at all (completely illiterate), but she had a sensation that I might need "a thing that allowed me to play with others for those instruments with the thick cables instead of the thin wires". So she consulted a friend of mine who plays guitar, and that friend very subtly asked me "if I still play by computer?". Said I did, but that I was investigating in getting one of those miniature Ampeg amps with the seventies aesthetic. And what did I find underneath the X-mas tree?

I was feeling very silly with my clothes steamer for her though :D

This little amp is pretty amazing. It sounds like a proper SVT, but it's cute, compact and lightweight. Very happy camper here!

Congrats! I have one just like it. They make a matching speaker cab for these as well, cool looking tiny stack.

My only small complaint is that the fan could be a bit quieter.

Oh that looks great! I was unaware of these. I’d like to try one myself. I have an Orange Micro Terror, but this could be just as fun or better.

Meanwhile I scored the matching cabinet for it. And I have to say, while it is a bass-amp and it utterly excels at it, it's also a surprisingly nice guitar stack. Extremely dry ofcourse, but not boxy or muffled at all. It has a gain preset so it can get crunchy, and the rest can be fixed with pedals if needed. A Jazzmaster on the rhythm circuit with the EQ at noon is an instant jazz-sound and perfect for chordwork.

Happy little extra and unexpected functionality :)
