I've had a Leslie 18 for a few years & recently picked up a Leslie G27. This thing is huge & heavy, but sounds more 3D. Plan to run vocals through it when I get the chance.

Try drums as well. I've heard a few rock bands do it and it's such an awesome effect. You can mix the Leslie recorded drums in as a wet signal with the original kit for some more spatial ambience.
