Re: Tiny Amp Town
The little "Wangs" 1 watt amp head seems pretty promising. They're only around $200 and sound great!

Put some NOS tubes in them and they're fantastic!

Yep! A Mini Five. It's on the left, sitting on its custom-made cab:

The Wang amps are built well with quality components, fun little amps for sure. They were really cheap when they first came out.

Re: Tiny Amp Town
currently tolexing this little thing. it's a tiny for me (never owned anything less than 40 watts) tweed champ circuit built in my apartment (oversized cabinet for 10" speaker down the line). next project is a tube headphone amp for apartment playing. this is still too loud, but sounds incredible.
has mod for switchable negative feedback, some other switchable tone buggery, plus i built a series/parallel power soak to lower the volume a bit. classic tone iron, cheap jj tubes, mallory caps, blah blah.
