new amp: Fender Princeton... Lego! (Genuine Fender News link pg 4)
i'm sure there must be a lot of and "Ah naw he di'nt..." going on right now, but -
"Aw, yeah - i di'it!"
it took almost a week of sorting out my old lego bin, planning, building, and revising what i built (i had 4 different speaker designs!). i have no idea how many pieces i used. none of them were altered to fit the build, and nothing has been glued.
reference pics were mostly early silverface princeton reverb-amps (68-70)
yes, the front folds down to about a 45 degree angle, the upper and lower back panels are easily removed, and the knobs can spin (but not too much or they'll come off and i'll have to click them back on, lol). AND the chassis is removable, since i designed it to slide right in the back.
here's some pr0n!

Also you're going to need a three prong cord but after that you should be set for some lego rocking!

lol, thanks. a lot of time went into figuring out how i could add all the little things and make it all functional.RumorsOFsurF wrote: I saw the first pic and thought....That's cool....Then as I scrolled down my jaw dropped!

cuz like you, i thought of building it, and the idea of just a lego box that looked like an amp was 'cool', but then i was like, 'it needs a speaker... and the grill has to come off to see the speaker...' and then i even had a set of tilt back legs for it! but when i decided the chassis was gonna be slide out-able, i knew i wouldn't be tilting this thing too far, lol. (not to mention PRs didn't have legs, to my knowledge)

This made my early morning, and makes me wish I hadn't given all my old lego away.

Wow! that's pretty impressive!
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.
