Here are some pics of an amp I built using the schematic for a Matchless DC 30. However I substituted the output section from a 15 watt Lightning.

Hey Jetset, Yes I took your advice and got the West Labs transformers. I really like them, I am about to order another set for am 18 watt clone of a Hiwatt (LOWATT), Thanks for the tip. The only difference between this amp and the Lightning schematic you sent me is the additional pentode (EF 86) channel. It sounds awesome, but sorry glimmertwin, Im not smart enough and don't have the hardware to digitize a sound clip. A friend of mine brought over his real Matchless Nighthawk the other night and the sound was very close.
