Whizzer cones

These pop up every now and again. Has anyone ever used a speaker with a whizzer cone? Good? Bad? "It depends"?

I use the Eminence Beta-12LT for my Bass VI. It has an extended HF to about 9k but lacks the "peak" that most guitar speakers have around 4-5k.

I would try them. they probably sound "hi-fi".

This one is actually a Celestion G12/75 from the mid-1970s (I added a photo to my first post). I hope it'll suit a 15w tube amp (WEM Dominator III) guitar amp because I just won it on eBay!  *fingers to be crossed for the next week or two in anticipation*
