My crackpot Fender amp theory

I noticed that after Leo introduced a new top of the line guitar, a new amp line usually followed within the next year or so. My theory is that Leo voiced those amps with the most recent guitar in mind, so if you are looking for a Fender amp for your Fender guitar you might want to try the following pairings:
Telecaster - TV front and Wide Panel Tweeds
Stratocaster - Narrow Panel Tweeds
Jazzmaster - Brownfaces (blonde and brown)
Jaguar - Blackfaces
Of course, this is only a theory, but it would tend to explain my love for Brownface amps paired with Jazzmasters.

i thought that the first bassvi's were shown in the catalog with a bassman, 2x12 closed back, blonde... could be wrong.

Bass VI came out in '61, right? I'd think that a brownface Showman, Twin or Bassman, would probably be a nice pairing, maybe even a Concert, since it's basically the brownface version of the tweed 4x10 Bassman.

I have to say that I never really liked my JM until I played it through the DRRI..... when ever I had played it through bassman/HRDlx/Pro jun/blues junior , it just sounded too dull and bassy .... at least through the (Blackface) DRRI it has some presence....

Princeton Chorus??? No wonder. Have you ever tried a properly set-up silverface or earlier amp? The Fender/Fender guitar/amp combo is a thing of beauty.
