Ignore this if you're set on owning a vintage amp...
But doesn't the current OR50H come damn close to what you're after tone whise? I don't think it's got a lot of clean headroom, and unless you can find a better than average deal I'd say it's grocely overpriced...
But it should be easier available and maybe more reliable than a '70s tube amp with leaking power caps and a history of abuse and amateur mods

the vintage amps can always be refurbished to last a long long time. I'm an amp guy, it's no problem.
this seller won't ship to the USA but I'm thinking of asking him if he'll ship it to a friend of mine who works at John Henry's in London... great deal!

Soho are big enough to sell out national tours of decent sized venues now. Not Foo Fighters type venues, but they can put on a tour with multiple shows in major cities and sell out all their gigs. There are a few great live guitar bands here now. It's great to see Soho and The Smith Street Band selling out tours.

i supplied the gutted chassis, cabinet, faceplate (front & rear) design and name. he supplied the orange circuitry goodness. to my knowledge he's built two other variants - a non master volume in a 2x12 combo for himself and a brown tolex head for a buddy of his that's in the Sword. upon arrival we side-by-side tested it with my mates OR80 Overdrive (same as the reverb amp) and it was identical if not BETTER sounding than his. when i say better i mean less foggy when the gain was cranked.
good shit is good.

OLD SHIT IS OLD.
Six years late but whatever. I've built many an Orange-y thing over the years and prefer the earlier (1972) version of the OR circuit with the AC-coupled phase inverter. Here's my most recent one with added mid control and master volume, per the customer's request:
