Yeah, I think for the money the guy's looking they're not worth it. Those little amps come in handy sometimes (i have a little 5W leem that sounds nice with my JM occasionally) but they're not worth paying more than a couple of quid for.

I like baby tube amps.  Baby solid-state amps are usually student-level, just something to get a beginner started.

I like the Fender pro junior.  That's a good sounding baby amp right there for reasonable money, especially if you change the speaker.  But even stock it's fine (especially if you find one of the tweed ones with the alnico magnet speaker)

IMO you'd be better off with a Valve Jr and you can find those used for $75.

Yeah Ive got an eye out for the pro junior..
I try to stay away from SS as much as possible..
Ive only had one SS ive liked which was a Roland JC-120 head..

I do wanna try out the Voc pathfinder 10.. its cheap and looks nifty..
Might even be worth buying as a prop.
