From stevejamsecono's listing. :)

DOD 250 - 90s reissue without the paint. Purchased from peterherman some time ago so it's got OSG-cred.
peterherman got it from Paul Rhoney (stereoridnary). Paul got it from parry who got it new in the 90's. I guess it sounds like a friend borrowed it and wasn't very gentle with it.... hence the stripped finish. :)

I got to try it out with my telecaster and I think it is cool. Pretty simple controls. I like that the overdrive isn't over the top. I have a few pedals that are called overdrive, but have so much gain they are essentially a distortion pedal. It is a nice contrast to my F*ck Overdrive mini. :)

A demo. No talking and such. Just playing with different gain levels and pickups. Mostly bridge, but I did a little with middle and neck. :)

The 250 is an underrated masterpiece of a pedal. I'll take one over a Klone any day.

The biggest problem I have with 250's is that they sound really good as a boost but then, adding a little gain sounds really good too. And a little more sounds a little better. Pretty soon, I've maxed out the dang gain again!

I also found that the early 80's yellow ones get listed as 90's RIs all the time and mostly are identical to the famous(ly expensive) grey box versions.

What are your thoughts on the differences between the 250 and the D+?
