I prefer the faster DMM tones, especially slapback and chorus so i really want one to work in my repertoire. Did seem the 1100tt was that faithful. Maybe the Rockett Clockwork. I prefer the rubberneck for washier tape delays, got it dialed with tone up. I dont think it does modulation well at fast times at all like the dmm, and some superfluous things such as me never using Tap and often wishing it just switched off instead of 'rubbernecking' mid song with same footswitch. On the whole great though- i approach it more like a long tape delay- very different to a DMM.stevejamsecono wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 2:57 amAmong a myriad of other useful things! I keep trying to replace it with other delay pedals (DD500 is the latest... early indications are that it's way too complicated) but I just can't seem to quit it.jorri wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 5:15 pmAt least the Rubberneck i just got does more than about 400mspeterherman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 12:49 pmAt least the Mojo Hand Dream Mender I just got was $50 less?

At the rate at which EHX stuff breaks they'll probably sell a lot of replacement units as well!stevejamsecono wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 4:46 pmWelp, they are gonna sell a lot of these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1qU3qYqffU

The 9v power is a weird one. I've only used the old AC ones and the 24V XO version, both were great with excellent headroom. Going to wait and see on this one.

It's been confirmed it has an internal charge pump to increase the voltage to 15v (which is what all previous Memory Men operate on internally, AFAIK). Headroom should (in theory) be the same.

After slagging off the delay time, TGP mentions its 600-650ms ? I'd definately want to confirm that but if true then I may have a new delay soon.

I just picked one of these up recently and it’s damn good. Everything I had hoped my 550TT would be. Great headroom, clean and clear repeats, excellent modulation. I also appreciate the extra delay time, that gives you the over taxed BBD sound. The repeats stay clean right up to about 500ish ms, but once you go past that, they start degrading and picking up more noise and artifacts, which I actually love. While I haven’t owned a big box DMM in many years, I did spend alot of time with an early 2000s model, and I would say they compare favorably. This nano has everything I remember loving about the big box.
Compared to the 550 TT the nano has infinitely more headroom. The 550TT would distort unless I rolled my neck volume down to 6-7, but the nano can handle full volume bridge, along with boosts and fuzz and remain clean and clear.
