Fender in the 00's - Releases line of cheap pedals
Fender in the 10's - Releases a quality line of pedals to compete with the big boys.
Fender in the 20's - Releases line of cheap pedals.
Me thinks this could confuse the market place. I hope the newer lines of pedals (Marine Layer, Bends, Reflecting Pool, etc) sticks around, they seem solid.

Re: new fender pedal line coming
They know their main target audience... Youngsters with shallow pockets. Makes sense to me really. A lot of those 16million extra Guitarists they sold to during lockdowns are going to be getting into pedals, but unlikely to be down the rabbit hole deep enough for $300 overdrives yet.shoule79 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 1:42 pmFender in the 00's - Releases line of cheap pedals

Re: new fender pedal line coming
i think fender are playing a smart game atm. they're getting instruments, amps and pedals for most styles and most price ranges out there. it does seem a bit....... worrying but it makes sense imho. i just feel kinda worried they might start to have a bit of a monopoly. granted, i don't think gibson are really much competition at the moment

Agreed.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

I kinda like how they look and also surprised they were designed in house and not just fender stuff on joyo or mooer guts.

Gibson re-released the Maestro line properly. Right down to the lovely packaging. These... look like a cheap Amoon rebrand or something?

I love the knobs, not sure that's enough to warrant purchasing an unneeded pedal though

Agreed. The knobs are kind of cool though. My guess is there will be a lot of these on the used market with changed knobs

Re: new fender pedal line coming
If Fender was smart, they'd sell the knobs separate as well.

I’m sure they are good but not remarkable pedals. The world doesn’t need any more of those.

They look like someone threw the visual design together in about ten minutes before quitting time on Friday.

I know the 90s is back in fashion now but can't we just leave Win95 amateur graphic design behind?
I'm sure they sound fine but they look like utter shit.
