Is that a Sun Lion, or a copy? The AM logo thing looks a bit different to usual.
It's a custom job TI/UK Sun Lion I specified. Came direct from AM Headquarters. 8)
Nice! I love the minimalist graphics.

I’ve contemplated a sun lion on many occasions, but since i already have a Sun Face, i probably should be sensible and just buy the Beano!

Do you use yours a lot?

Oh yes, the combo of the Surface Side + the Beano side is really great, it adds the clarity needed for certain things.

I tend to stack the Sun Lion into the Klon, they work really well together. I did find that I like the Sun Lion more with my Friedman Smallbox 50 than my Matchless Lightning, which was a bit of a surprise. I thought the Lightning would eat it up, but it wasn't instantly awesome...maybe I need to fine tune more.

I am still in the getting to know it phase...it definitely sounds different than my old NKT/RCA hybrid. It is more muscular, if that makes sense.

But yes, in your instance I'd just add a Beano, unless you wanted to save space on a pedalboard. :)

No velcro, no adhesive. Everything is affixed with micro-suction sheets that hold like crazy, yet you can peel them off with no residue.

I was actually going to ask about this too. Are you using the Friedman fairly clean then for all of this?

The Sun Lion definitely sounds better on the Plexi channel that I run just at the edge of breakup.

On the BE voiced channel the Beano side works well, but I prefer the Klon for an extra push.

To be honest, when I play I change settings all the time depending on my mood, so nothing is set in stone.

I actually changed pedalboards this week to a Temple Duo 17.

Just pared down the setup a bit. Got rid of the side table with the 16 second delay for now.

Guitar -> Boss TU-2 Tuner -> Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster -> Barber LTD v1 -> EQD Special Cranker -> Dunlop Mini Volume -> Boss CE-2W Chorus -> Way Huge Supa-Puss -> Boss RV-6 Reverb -> Vox Night Train + Ampeg Jet.

How is the Speaker Cranker? I'm quite gasing on it...but don't really know why :D

I love it. I use it on the germanium setting with the gain pretty high (as shown) and it does the Tweed Deluxe on the edge of exploding thing. The silicon side is significantly tighter sounding.

New fuzz, EQ and delay. All three are awesome.
I realised I don't use the mxr EQ enough to keep it on the board.
I'm thinking of another delay, an EHX Pitch Fork or something weird like EHX Superego in its place but can't decide. Suggestions? Guitar is a Bass VI, musical style is heavy psych rock.

Nice suggestion. Would certainly fit in but it's not quite my cup of tea.
I put a Memory Boy in the spot. It's set to a short delay on the edge of oscillation whereas the Supa Puss does a longer, warmer delay. They're timed to play together nicely. Can't wait for next band practice.
