How so? The one thing I would say for EHX is their pedals are seemingly built quite well.

Been using EHX since 1995, and have had zero issues with any pedal. Maybe I’m lucky.

I have a big box small stone. It doesn’t have this fancy unobtainium chip, and it sounds great.

On second thought, that might start an actual war.


And on the reliability track, I always read people slagging EHX reliability, but I own around 10 of their pedals, and have yet to have one fail, and quite a few are in constant use. I’ve had way more pedals from modern companies fail. Maybe I’m just lucky though.

I've never had an EHX fail either, my V5 opamp Big Muff is what, nearly 50 years old? Still going strong, still bendy when stomped on.
Similar story with my DMM, albeit a 90s reissue.

Spilt a beer on my Hazarai MM, got sticky but no issues there.

I love EHX but hope they don't continue going down the path of £600 POGs and whatnot.

I've had'em where you can shake the enclosure and hear the wiring rattle around inside plus bendy. Still keep on tickin'. I have had to replace electrolytic caps in some of the 70's era ones but that's a given.
