Re: your effects setup?
I was really trying to pare down my dirt boxes somewhat, but I just couldn’t cut one of those guys. I kept switching back and forth between them, seeing if one could roughly approximate the other. They’re so different. The ZVex is really big sounding, a good bit more chaotic. The LAL is surprising versatile, and a good bit more useable, in a broad sense. The tone selector switch really adds a lot of possibilities. It’s like the Jesus and Mary Chain in a box. Those are two of my favorite pedals at this point.
Now count every rhododendron in this cool mountain light, I made more mistakes than that just tonight

Super pared-down straight forward travel board for a new surfy-punky-psych band I'm starting. The simplicity reminds me of good old days.

Absolutely. I miss some things like a MicroPOG, but there really is so much a guy can do with just this lot.marqueemoon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 9:55 amLove it. Just the essentials.mikeehairdo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:15 am

For sure. My board for my 3 piece is pretty similar, including a still-kicking TU-2 at the front.mikeehairdo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 6:31 amAbsolutely. Re: your effects setup?
Agreed. If you can't play a gig with that little, you're overthinking it. I'd struggle to not have a tremolo for surf-punk-psych but I could make it work.marqueemoon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 9:55 amLove it. Just the essentials.mikeehairdo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:15 am

That TU2 can't be killed. It's had so much beer spilt on it at this point that it's got a blood-alcohol level.marqueemoon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 2:23 pmFor sure. I'm using all those terms very liberally haha. Trem is one of those effects I've always been weird about, but i really am coming around.JSett wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 7:27 pmAgreed. Re: your effects setup?
This is the pedalboard that I use with my Orange/ Matamp rig and downtuned guitars, for heavier stuff. Tonight though, I wasn’t using either of those with it.

Re: your effects setup?
My little live board has gotten a touch ott. It’s only one delay short of my old pedestrian jr setup. Who cares, it does getting I need & way easier to commute to practices with smaller bag.

NPD for the home board: Sun Face Bart
Instantly in love again. Absolutely regretted selling my other one. I’m vibing with every pedal on here . Maybe it’s time to lock it down & stop swapping things out

I don't know about the flanger, but the rest looks perfect to me. I'd feel right at home with this board. Rat+Honeybee is my love language.

Re: your effects setup?
I relatively recently bought a waza chorus after selling my old chorus and missing it.
I also picked up one of the JHS color boxes with the neve color way and am using it for tracking DI. JUST one t hi ng I dislike- the brightness of the white LED, you could see that shit from the ISS

Have you owned or built an Electric Mistress? I can't explain it, I just love it. When I get it dialled in just right, it blows every chorus & phaser out the window.ThePearDream wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 5:03 pmsal paradise wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 8:07 amNPD for the home board: Sun Face Bart
