Electro-Harmonix Canyon
EHX Canyon is massively underrated. Bass player in my wedding band has one for home use, and when it was still working correctly it sounded immense, with maybe 3-4 different types I really love. Like all EHX pedals he's ever owned though, he managed to break it. He's literally the only guitarist I know who has managed to break literally 4-5 different variants of the Big Muff including the bass one... how is he doing this? Is his pedal power nuking them internally?

In general EHX pedals are built poorly.

I keep hearing that, but have never had one give out on me in over 30 years of using them, and I have a lot of their stuff. I guess I’m lucky?

Mainly a home player now, I've not had any issues with my E-H pedals, which include:

Canyon Delay & Looper
East River Drive Overdrive
Neo Clone
Oceans 11 Reverb
Soul Food Overdrive

Same, I've had several including the B9 and Lester G currently on my organ sim board for nearly 3 years now, and they do see a lot of gig and studio rehearsal time. Maybe they've lasted because I pack them away after use and don't stamp on the footswitches really hard when I'm using them. One of my few objections is that the little black markers on the knobs are easy to wear off, but that's pretty minimal and you can always Sharpie them back on.

I had a recent DOD Rubberneck for a hot minute, and it was a really nice pedal.

But I will agree that, pound for pound, the MXR Carbon Copy is hard to beat.

I got a CC not long after they released and really liked it but the analog delay that I still LOVE to this day and keep on my board is my Maxon AD-10. Very similar it specs to the CC but without the modulation. It’s hard to describe it it just feels the most organic out of all the analog delays I’ve tried. I use mine for slapback mostly but I’ve also gotten great Joey Santiago delay sounds out of it too. Maxon makes some very well regarded delays but the AD-10 seems to always fly under the radar. What I really want is the Japanese released version; same pedal but it’s a cool green color and called the Astro-Echo!
