two NOS silver screw SG-1's from a music shop liquidation for next to nothing - they had been buried in a closet for decades.
That's a killer find. Mine was was used, but almost spotless. I got lucky on that one too, but wasn't a total steal.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

I've been deep in Boss land lately.
I recently modified my '84 SD-1 to be closer to early OD-1 specs (my OD-1 rev. E has been modified to be closer to rev. A & B specs) and I did a simple tone stack mod to my DS-1 and I love it now. I'll share the mod if you're interested. It only involves two components; 1 cap and 1 resistor. It used to sound so thin and fizzy coming after an overdrive, now it barks.
I also did a simple hi-cut mod to my old '91 DD-3. It's much better now for me. And all my early Boss pedals now have the proper "PSA" mod. It just makes life a bit easier when setting up new pedalboards.
