It's already been a fad in the indie scene;) Slint, Hum, supposedly MBV all used them, I'm sure many more did. I want to get another one I love them that much.

Man, I've been putting off buying one of these for years! I have no idea why, but whenever I go to buy one, I always end up thinking "hmm, do I REALLY need this pedal?" and then I back out and put the money back in my pocket. Maybe in a few years when the pedal is worth thousands(highly unlikely), I'll buy one and then kick myself for not having bought one sooner.

You really should go for it, but then again, I'm a major supporter of the pedal and have been for many moons. Still, go for it!

Does the Hyper Metal also have that Muff-like fuzz tone
Many Thanx

Apparently the Hyper Metal has a much thinner sound and is more suited to Solos, a lot of people have said they don't like it compared to the HM-2, but I've never played with one.

It's actually a good thing in this case, I think. There is almost always one up for about $35 BIN

That's what I paid for mine and since then I've passed up at least 12 more for $30-40 BINs.

I'd be interested to hear clips of other people using their HM2. Mine seems to have changed soundwise over time. Sounds strange I know. It seems to change with different batteries as well. It sounds awful with an AC adaptor.

Are you using the correct ACA adapter? If a standard type is sued, it does sound pretty awful. Other than that, I'm not sure.
