Thanks! If you get the chance to buy a G-Reverb
do it by all means. It's a killer amp. I've seen only two for sale in the last 15 years or so here in EU. The first one was here in Germany and was totally overpriced. Then 3 -4 years ago one was offered in Spain for very reasonable and fair price, and shipping was just 30-40€. The amp came with an alnico Jensen 15" that had a total scoop in the mids. I've found a JBL D130 (without F) and that beast came alive.
It's such a pity that Dario Gomez has closed his company.
Good call with the JBL! What ohms is the transformer? The Quilter Steelaire 15” is a GREAT JBLish neo speaker but it only comes in 4ohms. Highly recommended.
Unrelated, but did you see the new Surfybear Compact!?
It's 8 Ohms output transformer with big iron.
Yeah, with the Jensen alnico 15" speaker that came with the amp I've had to work with bass control around 2-3 and treble control around 3 to get somewhat balanced sound. Now, with the JBL, the eq controls have a big range: I can scoop the mids, I can push the mids, whatever I want. Simply glorious.
Re SB Deluxe: yes I did. I am curious about their new products this year. That SurfyMan is interesting too...

FYI
impedance is the measured value and ohms are the units. This is like saying "what degrees is it outside?".

I just saw the SurfyMan! I wish they’d add the Blossom Point to more items.

I would love to try that Quilter Steelaire 15'' but nobody in Europe sells them AFAIK. Ordering from US is going to be really expensive as shipping costs are higher and import duties are mandatory.

Love EGC stuff, is it yours?
No, it's my other bandmate's. I've played it quite a bit, but I have a really hard time getting used to the extremely thin and flat neck profile. Otherwise it's a great guitar. It's amazing for down tuned stuff.

I've owned a few myself, the super thin profile is really nice if you have a regular body but tiny hands like me.
For regular humans though it can be a bit of an adjustment

It’s from the studio range. This is an SV212.
Tony’s head is so pretty that getting a nice looking cab was long overdue

That's lovely looking! Nice little mini stack. Great timing too, because I just did the same thing myself:

Barefaced Uprising 2x12 with Celestion Neo Creambacks. Sounds pretty great so far and is an easy one-handed lift!

I've got two of them now. One of their 1x10-styles with a Neo 12 Creamback and this one. Both are great sounding cabs and they definitely work as advertised in rooms that aren't well-treated acoustically. BIG sounding.
This latest one is the most I've spent on any one piece of kit, I think, but I bet it'll be money well spent.

Nice. I bet the small cab weighs nothing.
I’ve been mulling a cab with more of a Vox/Marshall flavor, and I like the vertical concept for the small footprint and getting the sound closer to my ears.

My old ‘65 Tube Reverb is in the chain too. I basically never play without it. Swapped the Reeves knobs for some black ones also. Much better IMHO. I’m really liking this rig.
