I did catch your build in the other threads (and on the surf forum). Nicely done!
Two questions...
how do you like that shorter tank?
I was planning on getting a standard, long pan AND a short pan to experiment with. The shorter pan opens up a lot of possibilities for enclosures...
AND
Your on/off switch. Is that a standard, heavy-duty, two pole on/off? Or does the kit need a 3 or 6-pole? Any chance you've got a pic of just the switch you used?
I'm 99% sure which switch I was going to use; and was just going to sort it out when it got here - but the question has come up with others as well.
Thanks!
Hi Parry,
thank you!
as I will use the reverb in my bass rack, the shorter 2-spring tank suits my needs just fine, not as full as the long 2-spring tank, but drippy and splashy nontheless. originally, I intended to use a long pan, but there's sadly no space in the unit, unless I pull it completely apart and mount it diagonally in the unit, which I couldn't and wouldn't do, as I'm really not that good with stuff like that :-)
for the switch, I used this part:

mind you, the on / off switch turns the unit completely off, not just only the wet signal (I did not know that, in hindsight....it's the same as in a Fender Reverb Unit. d'oh!). that's why I have another Jack on the backside of the unit, where I can plug in a latching footswitch, to turn the wet signal on/off. Be sure to check the schematics on the surfyindustries homepage!
