i keep saying i wanna get another boss rv5. it's not the most "hifi" reverb, but it's got a quality of it's own
What would you say is supposed to be a "hifi" or better version of the RV-5? I'm a huge fan of the Beach House and Grizzly Bear reverb sound, but I hated the RV-5 that I had.

I've been using a Neunaber Slate V2 for quite a few years. I've never felt a need to update or "upgrade".

I tried a lot of reverb pedals over the years.
But I alway go back to my EHX "Holy Grail" it's old, ugly but sounds good to my ears.
I prefer the "Hall" setting with the control just past noon to get that lush reverb sound.
(although as of late it developed a background noise that I can't seam to get rid off....)

I also really, really like the reverb(s) in the older Zoom G1 multi fx pedal...
does not work with all amps, but is great for recording and works with all guitars and basses I tried it with.
But for band situations it's not very usable since it's part of a multi fx box and not that user friendly.

Still happy with my Digitech Polara, after three years. I did try the RV500, but found it complete overkill for my needs. I can imagine it being a useful recording tool, but I hate menu diving when I’m playing guitar. The Polara offers a nice amount of different modes without being overwhelming, and they all sound good to me (including the spring reverb). It’s not terribly experimental, but great for those looking for the classic reverb sounds plus something a little different (“halo”, “modulation” and “reverse” modes).

I think my new favorite reverb is a short slapback-ish delay. :freako:
Sometimes I'm using an older Malekko Echo 300...
and sometimes a Caroline Kilobyte.
Both are great!

Those are both fantastic. Top-shelf stuff.
