Afterneath v3 vs. Afterneath v2
Anyone who has the pedals/has played them, do you think the updated model with the mode toggle is worth the extra 50-60 I would probably end up paying for it?

isnt the 3 cheaper than the 2?
i have the 2. its great without the toggle but a toggle for even less money would be nice.

Right around the time I decided I really wanted an Afterneath, I found out that the V3 was upcoming. I emailed EQD and it seems that the only difference is if you use an expression pedal. If you don't, then those extra modes don't really do much, if anything. Which is too had because I think the graphics look MUCH better on the V3.

I looked at some demos and they seem to make a pretty big difference but, at the same time, I could see myself sticking to one mode that I like and just not using the rest.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 2:08 pmRight around the time I decided I really wanted an Afterneath, I found out that the V3 was upcoming. I don't know about you, but that's generally how I am with most pedals I will love the way pedals can do some varied things, and then I'll find a setting I like and not ever move knobs much. I've only gotten better with changing settings in the last couple years.

It's always nice to have gear with multiple options though. You never know down the road you are in a different project and need something else. It's great to have gear that can accommodate that.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 8:36 pmI don't know about you, but that's generally how I am with most pedals I will love the way pedals can do some varied things, and then I'll find a setting I like and not ever move knobs much. I agree. I like versatility quite a bit.

Re: Afterneath v3 vs. Afterneath v2
This thread just reminded me I've been wanting to try the Afterneath for a long time, and still haven't got the chance to do it. The EQD dealer in my town didn't have the V2. Maybe now that the V3 is out, they'll have it. I have to check!
