Lol long story short is sweetwater is selling Berhingers for 20 bucks. I’ll probably buy 2 or 3s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 7:07 ami wanted to read the article but so much shit got in the way. Re: $20 Dollar Behringer Pedals for Everyone
I have so many feelings about this story. I really like that Sweetwater and Behringer are competing with the Amazon basics line of pedals (and I think with a very compelling offering). That said, I find it kind of depressing that there's a race to the bottom of pedal pricing and so much encouragement of cheap labor to build pedals. But this will enable a lot more people to try out a bunch of cool effects.
I think I'm more excited about this than not.

I mean yeah, it’s the age old debate that will never go away. What’s the right answer? Idk. On one hand they’re laboring for mere pennies. On the other, they have a means to provide something even if it barely or doesn’t meet basic needs. That’s out of our scope unfortunately and likely won’t be remedied for centuries, if ever.smjenkins wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 2:44 pmI have so many feelings about this story. Weren't they already 20 bucks? Am they did was maybe reverse 5 years of inflation.
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

I watched the JHS Behringer video a couple of months ago and then bought a Fuzz on Amazon for $40 cdn that night. I had no idea of the drama around them and the fact that the Fuzz is now some hard to find rarity. I guess I just got lucky.

In short, why is fuzz some hard to find rarity?

I've had the tube overdrive for years and its great. Just wish the knobs were a little nicer, they have almost no resistance now.

The Behringer Fuzz is a great sounding fuzz, and it's heavily hyped. Usually sold out everywhere.

Re: $20 Dollar Behringer Pedals for Everyone
The fuzz is pretty much just a very faithful clone of the Boss FZ-2 which is super expensive and hasn't been reissued by Boss. I think that tells you all you need to know. I bought one of the Behringer pedals about two years ago after messing with it at a friend's house and being blown away by how good it sounded. I've had two other FZ-2 clones since and sold them both and I STILL have that damn Behringer. The only downside to the thing is the crappy plastic enclosure but if you're not road dogging it kicking the shit out of it and only using it in studio or at home you should be fine.
