I spent hours cabling up a loop switcher so I never have to step on my sideways pedals that I am keeping forever and will definitely never change out.

I really try to avoid that whenever possible. I don't hate the format (like ZVEX pedals - I just don't have any of theirs) and even built two diy effects (well a looper and one effect) in that orientation because I got sick of those normal 125B enclosures. But yes, they take a lot of space that could be better used ...WITH A BIGGER PEDAL! ;)

Hey what about putting them upside down then you cant knock the knobs and you can add a whole stack of pedals on top that all bypass in one stomp!

That’s what a rack drawer with midi control is for.

i try to avoid it at all costs BUT sometimes it can't be helped. tbh though, i've build my pedalboard to fit everything in the correct orientation to avoid sideways pedals.

I love ZVex and have zero desire for any of the new "vertical" ones.

I also love many other pedals in more normal or even worse layout formats.

I’m less concerned about this than I used to be. I’ve accepted that I’m not super coordinated, and prefer some space between things.

I just hate it, aesthetically, when people rotate pedals on their boards where the text is not horizontal. I realize it is quite silly, so I don't bring it up.

I have a boards (sigh) big enough to accomodate pedals whichever way.
