How about horror?

The Krueger - a piercing fuzz that will tear the skin off your face.

Pieces - Harsh low and high cuts that create a multi-instrument effect, kind of like if you collected body parts and then turned them into instruments.

Remains - Delay, like the voice in your head that never goes away telling you to kill.

Bugs Under The Skin - random synthy noises that jump in and out, making you want to jump and shake around.

Bruce Chop - tremolo that cuts just like how Ash had to chop his girlfriend's head off. Clean and messy at the same time.

Psycho Phase - Phaser that kills its users.

The Stuff - No one really knows what it does, but "it's pretty dang good!"

Savini - Overdrive that covers everything with blood.

Saw-Of-Chains - Distortion that rips through your body.

Pinhead - A pedal with many controls on every panel, a puzzle. What does it do? The few who figured it out were never seen again.

I could go on and on...

my first Rat clone was called Capybara because i used some old giant flanger enclosure to house it and had switches for a LOT of mods.
That's pretty brilliant!

Jack
man that thing was ugly. i covered it in insulation tape and used permanent marker- was still a teenager and built it out of financial necessity- It was like the size of an old memory man and full of trimpots dangling on wires.

The Aersomith modulation pedal that promises much, but only actually delivers one sound:

“Don’t bore us, get to the chorus”
I can only imagine Thom Yorke singing this now.

I've just remembered Parasit Studio have got a really cool bitcrusher/aliaser kit for guitar they've named the Sonic Reducer, which I find pretty awesome.

"Transform your tone from a block of rock into something supple, curvy, and alluring. You won't be able to leave your bedroom and you'll fall so in love with your tone you'll get hairy palms. It's the latest and greatest in shoegaze technology.

"It starts with a boutique recreation of a classic EHX
bass booster, to bring that thicc, luscious, wall-of-sound thing that whatever band you love right now is playing. Then, we send that chiseled tone through a digital delay. That's it.

"So pick up our new toy for grown ups and hear this long-out-of-production bass booster cleany echoed until you feel cold and lonely. It will be deleted from our product list the day it comes out. Make the best record of your career and make sure nobody hears it.

...The Pig-malion. Preorder now for $562.79"

Horse Meat Pie would be an even dumber name for PRS. (If that is actually possible.)

i dunno why but this thread reminds me of a joke i had with one of my friend's that if we were to ever start an emo band, we'd call ourselves "twinkle daddies' brown sauce"
offset guitars resident bass player.
'Are you trying to seduce me Mrs Robinson? Or do you just want me to solder a couple of resistors into your Muff?'

It's very difficult to come up with a cool product name that hasn't been used before, same as with band names. For my gear building I decided to forgo even attempting a cool name and have the following:

Angry Hornet - fuzz
Brawling Bee - fuzz (bass)
Drip Switch - reverb attenuator
Clam Shack - guitar
Beatnik Baron - guitar
Off Kiltertron - pickup
Bar-belle - pickup

They're pretty stupid, but fairly easy to remember.

My favorite shtick pedal name is the Diabeetus pedal with the Wilford Grimly graphics. His eyes turn red when you activate the pedal!

PS - not sharing my brand name since this isn't the place for self promotion. Just want to share the names.

PPS - someday I want to put together a geriatric speed metal band and call it FYBER ;)

I’ve long wanted to do a Daria-themed pedal. Tempted to do it on the Blues Driver I’m repainting. Maybe call it ‘The Misery Chick’ or ‘The Morgendriver’. :D
