I'm a huge fan of tremolo in all its forms, including Brownface-style harmonic tremolo (or does that fall into "other"?)

I love ring modulation, but it's not easy to use in a musical way. The key is to blend a small amount in so that it's audible but doesn't overpower your tone. A LPF on the carrier, like on the Fairfield Circuitry Randy's Revenge, also helps taming the metallic atonal weirness into something actually usable.

I occasionally use choruses, flangers, phasers and vibratos but not enough for me to select them from the list. I kinda like wah, but I never seem to be able to work it into my sound.
I was once saw someone who used a ring mod a lot tune the weird bell frequencies (no idea what they're actually called but they sound like bells to me) to the key of the song they were playing. Sounded really cool.

so how my band works, i only need 2 modulation pedals. i've got a boss CE-3 which is a chorus that also has a great vibrato (i use both) and phaser. as much as i love trem, i can never make it work in TFS

Tremolo is essential in my book even if I don’t use it a ton.

My J Rockett Tranquilizer is technically both a phaser and a vibrato, but I use it as a phaser 95% of the time on a rotary-esque setting.
Great effect.

I’ve never been able to get a straight chorus to work for me. Modulated reverb is fun at times though.

I voted "flanger" because I love the old MXR one that's been limping along for years and years.
I use a lot of modulation, often stacked, set by trial and error to avoid modulated mush.

In order of signal path:
Detune = not always on, but fun.
Flanger = not always on, but one of my favorite sounds
Boss Dimension (which is sort of a static chorus, sort of) = mostly on
Slight chorus to delay repeats = always on
Modulated reverb = sometimes

Tremolo (on Super Reverb) = the footswitch broke at some point and I haven't used it since.

I use tremolo a lot, then vibrato, phaser and flanger. Uni Vibe and rotary are the modulations I could never work into what I do. I also had a problem with wahs for a long time (I only enjoyed it when others used it and thought of it to be totally generic when I used it) but I recently put one on my board again and I grow into it. Just last week I replaced my modulation effects - that I was using an ancient MM4 for - with a FM4. I set it to be in the ballpark of what the MM4 did but different. It's a cool experiment but I already miss my tremolo.

I can never decide if tremolo or phasers are my favorite modulation effect. I love both quite a bit. I've got 2 of each that I use all the time.

I have a Caroline Parabola and an EQD Hummingbird that both get a lot of use.
I've got the exact same 2. Both lovely pedals. Ever use them together, set at different rates? A LOT of fun.

My use of modulation has changed quite a bit.
Until about 8 years ago I was a Les Paul wielder and excessive Wah-Wah user (about every solo and some funky rhythm parts) - along came the occasional use of Flanger (and just a little bit of Reverb, sometimes Reverse Delay). I played in a Heavy Rock/Stoner-Psychedelic Band back then.

First I decreased the Flanger until I sold it. This was just always too much somehow.

Then I switched to my first Jaguar and the world wasn‘t the same again.

Now every single wah I tried (several) cut highs, dynamics and volume (most of them even when not engaged).

Then I always thought I‘d be searching for the Uni-Vibe sound (Hendrix?) - got the Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe found it too mild, built an Earthquaker Devices Clone only to find out I was looking for Rotary sounds instead (not the phaser kind of guy it seems).

Rotary effects work best in a dual amp setup of course which is not my regular setup - but sometimes I like to mess with it. (Also great on vocals!)
Which brings me to Tremolo - I like 'em fast and choppy and I like 'em slow and pulsing just to give a little texture and sometimes spooky ambience. (After Reverb and Fuzz my third most used effect - so maybe I would just need an amp that can do both + a Fuzz in the Future… we will see).

I use Vibrato too - but pure analogue directly on the guitar. Or in the mod section of an Echo/Delay - nothing separate.

Recently I trief a standalone Chorus (wanted to do something post-punk-ish) and it just wasn‘t for me. Couldn‘t get along with it. Yeah, that‘s about it.

I've always hated chorus, a lot.

But now I started using one and I'm liking it. Just don't make it sound cheesy 80s (with a Strat)
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

A friend just fixed my Maestro Parametric Filter (it had been broken for 15 years) and I basically can’t turn it off.

The EQD Night Wire is a great trem/filter pedal that doesn’t seem to get much online love.

Phasers, and their univibe cousins, are always my number one. The Red Witch Moon Phaser is probably my favourite, although the script MXR reissue is amazing and delightfully simple.

All modulation can be fun at times.

I'm using a Danelectro FAB chorus. It's dirt cheap, but I like its subtle, very classic sound. I mainly use it for fattening high output Muff sounds in refrains. For cleans, I prefer reverb only.

Are we counting pitch shifters?

I've pretty much always got a whammy pedal doing something.

That CE-3 makes a good, icy chorus that I like too, but the vibrato trick is the real secret weapon of that pedal, as you know.

Phasers, tremolo and vibrato for modulation.

Chorus is okay too, for curtain things, but the three others are my favorites.
