Everyone wishing for Boss to do stereo tremolo/pan pedals with tap tempo...

That is really cool! I could see buying one! I still want a Boss Vocoder pedal too. Boss does the weird stuff really well. I do wish that they'd do a Waza version of the PN-2, but I think there's room enough for all the Boss tremolo pedals Or a big one with the algorithms for ALL the Boss trem circuits...

So many future Thom Yorke dudes need this pedal.

My honest take on this pedal based on the 4 videos I watched is : Sounds cool for keys and drum machines, sounds ROUGH on guitar especially on that boss video. I'd way rather have a Meris Enzo or something like that to go into the weird guitar synthy vibrato trem sounds arena and yeah, I am only really talking about the synth part.

Yeah I'd have an SL-2 to dice up synth pads and make drum noises to sample but too easy to turn into budget Radiohead or HEALTH if you tried to use this on guitar. The Boss video was rough...

It won't happen (if anything we'd get a perfectly usable but utterly uninspiring TR-2W) but this is what I want too...

I wanted to like this but the boss video and that dude making it sound like trash on guitar really did this one in for me.

Yeah, I've ultimately moved past the phase of my playing where I was interested in making the guitar sound Not Like A Guitar...

At $169 new, I'll probably scoop one up second-hand and use it on synths and stuff though...

Yeah, this seems much more geared toward electronic music and studio work than live guitar playing.

I have the twin version of this pedal and it’s a fantastic studio tool.

I was expecting to hate this, but think it actually sounds pretty cool.

Wondering how close you could get with trems ,filters, and compressors though.

A bit weird how this one is the opposite of the DD-8/RE-2 etc, in that the green flashing light means 'off' and the red flashing light means 'on'.

Also I didn't connect it to a tap tempo footswitch, instead I used the midi connection from my RC-500. First opportunity I've had to actually use the TRS midi jacks. I guess it's nice to have smaller, more compact cables running around, compared with normal midi. Would be great if the stomp delays could be connected via midi too, I wouldn't need all these messy adaptors & y-cables for tempo control.

Another thing is that I think it would be nice to switch the stereo output modes without having to unplug it, move all the knobs around, turn it off/on etc., but I suppose 6 control knobs was considered enough (despite me not using the tempo one anyway).



So as far as my functional uses are concerned, #1 is stereo tremolo for live applications (with better control of tempo than with TR-2), #2 is fooling around making weird noises with or without the SY-1.

It's been over a year, and I was wondering if anyone still has their's or if anyone has since bought one? I'm wanting one real bad and have watched a few videos that go in-depth with one. Apparently, it can do a decent sounding harmonic tremolo sound, and I'd suspect that it could do amplitude-modulation tremolo as well (like a TR-2).

One of the deep dive videos mentioned that you can change the output type, and one of them is a stereo pan type of tremolo or slicing. Has anyone tried to get pan tremolo sounds out of it? If it can do a decent PN-2 thing, that would absolutely sell it for me.

I'd never heard of this pedal until this thread, got intrigued and one's on the way. I'm a fan of pedals that really transform a guitar's sound so this could really work for me. A few years back I had a Hologram Dream Sequence that I'm guessing tilled some similar territory in terms of creating weird rhythmic sequences, but it was big and expensive and I didn't use it enough to justify the pedal board real estate. I'm hoping this guy, linked up with some other odd balls on my board, might recapture some of what I liked about the Dream Sequence. I could also be wrong, but with an open box price on the Boss, this is a low risk experiment.

Low-risk experiment due to Boss price is where I'm at too. I picked one up myself, and hopefully will get a chance to mess with it this week or coming weekend. I really think it can do some really cool stuff, and being a fully stereo pedal was absolutely worth it. If I don't use it on guitar as much, I can sew using it on synth or with a drum machine.
