Cool looking rare fx coming up!
A Uni-Vibe and an Bassmaster clone, both @ under €100 whoa
...and apparently there's even an Octavia and a wah coming soon, too!

i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

For once I don't think Behringer can be criticized for copying circuits and designs. It's all stuff that's been copied over and over and over before.
However... Their naming for this stuff might end up causing a few C&Ds to be sent their way.

Hot damn! Looks like they researched what vintage pedals have no affordable clones on the market right now and went berserk.

I am curious what's actually inside the Vibe.

I hate this word in general and probably extra in the gear space. Our threshold of affordability has gotten so skewed.

Damn. I thought the Tone Bender looked nice - now I want them all. Except maybe the Centaur…
Well played Behringer!

That Brassmaster is even copying the original graphics. Maestro stopped making pedals in the ‘70s, but Gibson brought the brand back a few years ago with the vintage graphics.
Gibson isn’t afraid to defend their trademark and recently 3,000 fake Les Paul’s were seized at the port of Los Angeles-Long Beach.
Behringer better expect a response unless they did the research and Gibson doesn’t own the name.

I'm sorry, but I don't get what you're saying here. I didn't check what they cost exactly, but I'm sure they aren't "cheap" as per the usual Behringer schtick and neither are they "mid-priced" for what they are so I'd say "affordable" is a pretty good description. Or am I missing something here?

They're £59/69 depending model... That's cheap as hell - almost too cheap - but, well, China I guess. Shame the Brassmaster isn't in the correct wedge enclosure.
I (think I) know why Tony doesn't like it, and I agree with him.

In general our (not just OSG....the western world) perception of what's
affordable has been skewed by the availability of cheap, disposable goods. Clothing, electronics, what have you. Nothing is repairable, nothing is made by someone earning a decent wage, and the trend is going in the wrong direction. 25 years ago a pair of Levis 501s cost $40 ($73 today, adjusted for inflation). Today they cost $52. Its just crazy how the concept of affordable moves.
Not long ago I did this study for another forum regarding the quality of a reasonably priced guitar amp:
Its safe to bet that any reasonably priced modern amp is built like total dogshit. Or, more likely, its that what we think is "reasonable" is not really reasonable. This 1972 Marshall price sheet has a 1987 head at $400 ($3000 in today dollars):
This 1976 Hiwatt listing has a 50W at about the same ($3K) in today's dollars:
Those are pricey imports, but even a Bassman head in 1976 is $1650 in today's money:

Oh okay, you were talking about quality.
You're right, of course, but I'd just like to point out that during the last 25-35 years the income gap in the western world has become a massive gorge, meaning, for example, that for people like me these Behringer pedals are
literally affordable while anything "properly built by skilled workers with decent pay in the west" most definitely isn't unless it's a second hand bargain.

I'd rather have less stuff, but of a higher quality.

i find it interesting that we've got better at making more stuff but it's not always equating to better quality.
