I like that in this Golden Age of boutiques, Boss has once again become a monster of a company, putting out top notch stuff and really doing well.
Don't call it a comeback, kid.

Re: Setup of the day
Later on I plugged in these as well. They're Sooo Great. Made by our Admin Jay.
TS9 clone (was 808 originally but I changed it) with a late 70s vintage JRC4558 (I would end up with a pile of these from re-chipping old Roland Synths) and a clone of the Boss FA-1 that I convinced him to make many years ago. I had a vintage one and this sounded just as good so I ditched it.

Wow, your Bassman is identical to one I owned a few years ago! I always thought it was pretty rare to find a drip edge with a black faceplate and I def had a violet jewel on mine too.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 3:30 pmTele with new strings -> 90s DMM -> modded '67 Bassman

Re: Setup of the day
I've had that cabinet forever and I was trying to sell it right before I got the amp. I got the amp from a friend last month and it was in an amateur homemade cabinet with purple tolex and oxblood grill cloth. It was pretty ugly because the cabinet had very squared corners. So I'm glad no one bought the vintage '68 cabinet.

yep! still getting used. Do you still have your custom head? My bandmate bought my Corsa head and uses it with an old Sunn 2x12 cab loaded with JBL E-120s and it sounds amazing. It's not something I thought would work but does beautifully.

Love to hear that stuff is getting used! Pretty sure that's the last cab he ever made-- a collector's item. I still have and play with my Cage amp. Admittedly I have a Princeton and a JC-77 that get a little more attention, but they all get rotated around.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 1:38 pmyep! still getting used. Re: Setup of the day
I really like the Steelcaster. I wasn't blown away first time playing it, but I like it more and more. It made it's way into my live setup on rehearsals, felt great during the gig and I even recieved compliments for my sound from the sound guy, which is pretty unheard of
Teisco checkmate 20 is loaded with wgs et65, which starts to become my favorite speaker.
The pedalboard sounds as filthy as it looks

Oh yeah. I admire people who can deal with that kind of aesthetic chaos!
It makes me anxious too, but on the flip-side i can’t stop looking at it.
