I don't know what's less surprising, seeing this amazing setup including a life pedal, or that such a setup needed one in the first place :w00t:

I’ve used many, many pedals, in my time, but there is something special about the Life Pedal. It really is more than the sum of its parts. With this kind of setup, it works perfectly. The blendable octave brings everything to life in a way that can’t really be described.

God I love Magnolia Beans, so jealous! I have an EGC Tyranny but it's nowhere close feel or sound-wise to the few Beans I've played in person.

Thank you! That amp has been with me for a long time now! I am getting ready to recap and retube it here shortly. I sold my Green Matamp 120 and Pix only OR80 a couple years ago to clear out some space in my basement. The OD120 really did everything the other two did just as well. I plan on buying a new Green GT120 within the next year or so.

Thanks!! I love Koa, but the Magnolia has really grown on me over the years. Mine is a later one with the thinner body and longer horns. It has an Imron coated neck which I kind of prefer to bare aluminum. Those pickups are unlike anything else that I’ve ever used. They are so fat, yet so clear. And microphonic too.

Most of my favorite pickups are microphonic.

I actually prefer the thinner bodied ones, they make the earlier designs seem very clunky in comparison.

Never had the experience of the Imron neck, is it glossy or more satin feeling? My Tyranny has a brushed neck which feels fantastic underhand.

The microphonic pickups thing was quite a well known error at the Bean factory allegedly according to Marc McElwee, seems like they only figured out the potting issues on the last few runs of instruments before the company went bust.
