So the BYOC Large Beaver is a clone of the triangle knob Big Muff circuit and I can say right now that it compares favorably but doesn't sound exactly the same. The original is maybe a wee bit smoother sounding with a less pronounced top end and slightly less compression. Also, the tone knob seems to make a more noticeable difference across the sweep range. The BYOC stomps the original in the noise department. My original is a hiss factory from hell, the BYOC is quiet as a church mouse.

I also added the mids shift mod which makes a pretty noticeable difference in the character of the sound and reaction of the tone knob. More on that in the full review. I made it look like a Schlitz beer can since Schlitz apparently is slang for vagina in German. Of course I LOVED Jonas's VAGINA idea but that was his idea and I needed something of my own so I stuck with the (very tired) innuendo angle.
