how do you get this effect?
Hi, i heard this guitar effect on a Klaxons track called gravity's rainbow, the guitar totally freaks out for a few seconds in the middle check it out http://www.myspace.com/klaxons you can hear it really obviously at about 1:14. what is it? I want it!

It sounds to me like someone messing around with the delay time on a delay pedal while the signal's being fed through, with the feedback set just low enough so that it doesn't self-oscillate.
Those Tube Zipper sound samples sound like the TZ is modulating the signal in a similar manner to a phaser/chorus, whereas on the Klaxons tune there is definite delay modulation going on. Does this qualify as Granular synthesis in a digital delay pedal? I could never decide for sure.

I'd say its turning a knob on a TZ (i think,its one of those 12ax7 pedals anyway),on EH site, i think its Fruciante that does it,who ever it is sounds identical.Could be a delay knob tho,sounds like that too!
