New Danelectro effects line

Post by jcyphe » Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:24 am

I have liked a lot of the Danelectro pedals over the years. Doesn't seem like the sound samples are up yet.

hmmm, I dont know why they didnt just keep making the ones from a few years back.  i wouldn't be surprised to find the same circuits inside some of them....
I prefer their older stuff.

I doubt it. Danelectro is still making the minis and the Fab series, or they're still on the webpage atleast. They also had that Wasabi series, that they seemd to let fall by the wayside, and they all had differences.

Maybe some will be similar or the same, guess we'll find out.

i think their marketing department is going dotty. first the Wasabi line were shaped like vintage automobiles, but marketed with images of a sumo wrestler. now this new line is all called "Cool Cat," which used to be the name of just their chorus. odd.

Yeah, Danelectro is a great company but a bunch of odd business men. Take a look at the "metal" pedal's description. "From crunch to scream (don't let the name fool you, it's much more than metal)"

Then why name it "metal"?

Oh and that guy in the middle of the "cool cat" logo looks like Conan O'brien.

Yeah Danelectro seems to use model names very randomnly.

They had a cool cat chorus already.

They had a "Pro" Series run of U and DC shaped Danos, only to come out later with the vintage shaped Pro.

Then there is the Fab effects line, but before there was a Fabtone.

;D Those cool cats over at Danelectro are probably smoking jazz cigarettes.

Yeah metal is over rated.. cracked bakelite and chewed bubble gum is the way to go
