Diiv -Skin Game
I hope the guitars sound in this vein for the whole album, nice SY vibe

That's a very nice song. I heard it on the way in to work this morning and it was perfect.

That's fabulous, definitely catching a Pale Saints and SY vibe, which are two of my favorite bands. Never thought that kind of combination would work.

this album is like a Sonic Youth + Linkin Park mashup... interesting

*That* is a particularly astute observation. I've dug turning people on to In Ribbons for (eek ... a long time) and the new, song-oriented, less mininalist/dream-surf-kraut-pop DIIV is one of the few bands I'd mention in comparison.

Sorry for dredging this topic up though

I guess I should give this band another chance.

Always been a ‘nearly’ band for me. I dig the sound, but only the odd track really pulls me in.

I think I prefer the poppier leanings of Title Fight’s later stuff or when Pianos Become the Teeth went dream pop. So I suppose if DIIV dropped in some big riffs a la Superheaven, I’d dig it way more.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?
