i am so glad i didn't buy that pair for $425. A friend with a hookup thought of me and now i'm sorted for night 3 at the hollywood bowl
After fees, it was $194 for single ticket but it's in one of the little box terrace things. #blessed

I'm totally done with major band/big venue shows over ticket prices. It's barely worth it anymore. I cracked back in 2015 at a U2 show where I paid $150 to sit behind the stage and could barely see anything beyond a video screen that was there to show us what we were missing.

I already had Gizz tickets for that Sunday in Chicago and I was on the waiting list for Saturday for the Cure and it was going to be the most epic weekend ever but then the waiting list ended and I didn't get them, sad face.

Went to the New Orleans show. Other than the guitarist noodling & the tallest man in the venue standing in front of me it was a good show. They played a Thousand Hours & Six Different Ways which I don't think I've heard them play before.

Damn. They really played those well too. Smith seems to be getting another wind of good performances...his voice sounds better.
Still looks like my crazy old Grandma though
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

List from the Ringer… a bit too Wish-heavy for my taste though

Strange hearing thousand hours dropped to such a low key. Must be so he can sing it..I mean it is fairly noticeable that his range isn't what it was although not surprising at age 64 but I think that's the first time they've ever had to do that.

I just happened across this video titled
"How To Write a The Cure song in 1 minute".
Thought some folks in this thread might appreciate it. It's pretty spot-on.
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

Caught the NYC shows. 31 songs on the final night. Could have skipped the whole ticket fiasco. Decent tickets were popping up for face value until showtime. Also lame of ticketmaster to release tickets behind the stage, but people bought them.

A bit of a necro-bump but it looks like the new album is finally getting its release. Last month, the Cure had a limited edition 45 that featured 2 live recordings of new songs and then teased about what might happen after that limited edition was sold out.
Today,
they posted on Instagram and basically hint that it will be coming out on November 1st, 2024.
