Re: Cocteau Twins
Oh man, I LOVE Cocteau Twins! I would have started this thread long ago, except I didn't have any confirmation that CT ever used any offsets besides a VI on Milk & Kisses (that pick-up note right at the beginning of Violaine is arguably my favorite VI sound ever). But yeah, I've got all of their stuff and listen to them very often. Any of you that haven't heard them yet NEED to check them out.

Oh yeah, Guthrie was buying up loads of old Jazzmasters and Bass VIs when no one else wanted them (in the mid/late 80s, I think). His main guitar for a while was a lovely '59 - classic gold guard/two-tone burst (sorry, I'm sure I've seen a pic of it somewhere but I couldn't find one just now).stereordinary wrote: I didn't have any confirmation that CT ever used any offsets

Re: Cocteau Twins
In most of their videos, there is a Jazzmaster or Jaguar, if Robin doesn't have one, then Simon does! One clip (Pink Orange Red I think) has a XII. You can hear the XII in many songs.
