I'm still waiting for my copy to complete this set. The Folklore Tapes packaging is wonderful and the musical content aligns perfectly. I have yet to be disappointed!

Yeah I agree with you both on Folklore Tapes, I just can't get enough.

Nanamour; Devon Folklore Tapes Vol IV: Rituals & Practices (Paper Dollhouse and Magpahi) is one of my favourites, LOVE it!

Talking Paper Dollhouse.

I totally recommend the low-fi folk of A Box Painted Black and lovely minimalwave of Aeonflower. There was a cool wee tape called Empty Rave recently too.

I also adore the Magpahi seven inch.

Me too. Did you get her Cavern of Anti-Matter remix?

Did you get the new Klara Lewis? I seem to remember you liked her.

Weird I was just thinking that you might want to know Mannequin's new reissued of the first two Din A Testbild records, Programm 1 and Programme 2. Even if you have old copies it's still nicely to get pristine ones.

What PJazzmaster said!

And that Magpahi song... :-* A mile gentler than the wing'd ones I've met! I see the 7" is sold out; I'll have to let the discogs bloodhounds out of their kennels to track it down

I'd bet hard currency you already know her David, but just in case Emma Tricca (on the same sublabel as the Magpahi 7") is spellbinding

Collecting records is old fashioned, people at the cutting edge of cool have moved on to collecting musical shampoo.

Is it just me or does Frizz sound like an electronic micro genre?

Thanks to Alex Neilson's Twitter for the pic.

Don't usually post stuff here for one off's and such, but I was on vacation this week and went a little crazy filling in some gaps in the collection, and buying a few old favorites on vinyl.

Image

McClusky - McCluskyism
Black Flag - Family Man
Modest Mouse - Building Nothing out of Something
The Replacements - Let it be
Jawbreaker - Dear You
Red House Painters - Songs for a Blue Guitar
Ghost - Infestissumam
Owls - Two
24 Gone - The Spin
The Denison/Kimball Trio - Soul Machine
Jackson Browne - For Everyman
BBC Sound Effects - More Death and Horror volume 21 (my son dug this out of the stacks and had to have it)

Just acquired an album featuring Tom Hanks. Paid 50 cents at a yard sale.

What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.
