People say Rickenbackers are no good for blues either, yet a whole bunch of blues dudes were using them in the 50s. Lennon was inspired by a guy who played a 330 Capri and combo 600.

I don't play blues, but I do play Mustangs, and they can do anything a guitar can do.

Here is me playing a ton of different styles on a Mustang. No wanking to see. Some nice original riffs though, and a bit of everything else.

Have yet to try a Mustang, played a Mustang bass a long time ago. You sound good, like yourself I imagine .
I did hear a bit of Gentle Giant :D
Yea, I snuck a lot of stuff in there. It was mostly improvised, as all my demos are.

@OP: sounds great!!! in my world, anything can be achieved on any guitar, it's just that i like offsets for the ergonomics. I remember the days when people would suggest 'guitars by genre'. hilarious. Sometimes I'm just browsing through guitar forums, havin a silent giggle: 'is an SG suited for psychedelia?' 'can I play Folk on a PRS?' ' is it okay to play metal on an offset?'... hehe. depends, depends. you're putting it to good use, no lack of sustain.
