Now I'm making... acid house? (Dirty Micc - FCK DAW)

Better luck the past few years writing for the band, but my home recording dried up and withered. Over the past year I got a little trio of basic analog boxes. The third showed up April 21 and I've been doing live to tape jams every few nights since then. Ended up with enough keepers to collect.

Raw, hypnotic acid house-ish stuff. More Chicago than UK. But more made as groovy background music than real dancefloor fodder. Good for jogging. I hear.

A little same-y, I admit, with only three "voices" to work with so far. But damn it's fun. A Behringer "303", a Behringer "808", and a Korg Volca Keys. No DAW, no master sequencer. All mixed and triggered live on the fly straight to stereo from the Tascam 4-track mixer, with a "little" FX500 for ambience. Been a garage punker, a power popper, and a shoegaze/postpunker. Always always always (since I first heard electro, etc, in the mid-80s) wanted to make music like this but the hardware machines with their specific "workflow" were unattainable. Samples and DAWs just didn't work for me. Amazing to finally get to try it on hardware and be able to start to do it.

Suggestions are welcome. I'm hoping to save up for the SH-101 clone and eventually a sampler. What else might it need on a peanuts budget? It's a sketchbook so far, just enjoying making things without endless post-production and being able to enjoy listening to them when I'm done.
