honestly i kinda love it as someone who loves the pokemon games and the odd bit of surf music.

This is so good. They nailed both the tone and arrangement. If you told me that was original music recorded for a game release I'd believe you.

Love the concept, it’s great. It’s nice to see people doing something slightly different with surf. Shawawaji Records just put out this comp which has surf bands covering classical songs. Some of those tracks are just wicked.

I’d love to hear a surf band playing instro black metal...

it's fitting that it has a kind of a contemporary japanese-surf (almost city-pop) sound... i think i wanted something more Ennio Morricone, or even Man or Astro-Man? (neither of which are really surf, strictly speaking).

still very cool– i would play the shit out of a island themed pokémon game with this score (i think they did a series that took place in a tropical ocean setting).
these are excellent.

I love that album. As far as I know that’s the only example of black metal surf, but sadly it’s all covers. I’d love to hear an original BMS band!

oof... i kind of fell out of gaming until maybe the last 3-years or so when we bought a switch. i have some serious hours in on BOTW and Skyrim (i'd have to add my steam and switch skyrim times together, but it's gotta be at least 400)... on steam, my worst is 391 on Civ 5, which, in fairness to myself, is just a time consuming game, even if you don't get super into it.

i've heard binding of isaac is good– my wife's younger brother is a big fan too.
