At long last the new EP from the band I play bass in is coming out. We started work on this in The Before Times. The pandemic slowed things down for sure, but that was only one factor. You wouldn’t know it from listening, but we are major perfectionists.

Nothing too groundbreaking about our sound, but if you like things like Neutral Milk Hotel, earlier Modest Mouse, later Fugazi, Parquet Courts, and less produced Nirvana you might dig it.

Gotta say I'm really happy with the mastering on this. A DJ played one of the songs on her local show last night and without reading as louder it was significantly clearer and more full range sounding than everything else. It also holds up well to whatever Spotify does.

Definitely getting some early Modest Mouse vibes here, dig it, first song's vocal sort of reminded me of some Pavement too. Will give the whole thing a listen here shortly. Cool name too. Congrats on the release!

Thanks! Yeah, we are hoping it is charmingly sloppy in that way. All of us are quite comfortable playing to a click, but decided not to, and generally elected to leave all but the most egregious mistakes in.
