no band shirts (and no shorts) for that shoot.
Just crossed my mind that I've seen some similar thoughts on some other forums, and now I'm curious about the reason behind this (like, no shorts on gigs and stuff).

When you have crap songs and no stage presence, trying to dress cool is all we’ve got left.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

It's nowhere near the way I feel when I hear lostprophets
Where are you going to that plays lostprophets? In the UK their music has essentially been deleted. After the guilty verdict no one even mentions them anymore.
I'm unfortunately in the NYC metro region of the US, so I'm subject to the worst radio programming in the world.

Nothing makes sense. I was listening to WSOU, a hard rock/metal college radio station at a Catholic college (Seton Hall University) and they were running Scientology ads for a bit.

Well to me it got something to do with professionalism… that incident was a album cover (inlay) photo shoot…
but guess what, our former bassist arrived in very short shorts and a neon-yellow longsleeve (that he at least edited to black on the pic).

Live: Drummers are always allowed to wear shorts on stage but for the rest at least some sense of style applies - and if the band looks good that‘s one thing less to worry.

Nothing wrong with shorts on an afternoon open air gig… but if it‘s in the evening or inside… just put on something nice. But that‘s just my opinion. And it surely also depends on the kind of music your band makes.
In our case it‘s „The Queen of Darkness“ on the microphone… and as her „cultists“ we once agreed on wearing rather dark tones too. And shorts would really look off.

I absolutely love this band, and I think ...Like Clockwork is their best work, it's at least my favorite. Really digging the new one so far!

I play in a punk band, shorts are defacto stage-wear from Spring to Autumn if you don't want to be extra sweaty.

And now you know why the rest of the band keep doing photoshoots without you.

After he started promoting his shows as the “punk Ed Sheeran” we became concerned for his mental health.

This, except that I play in a space/synth/krautrock band, and I really don't like feeling sweaty and uncomfortable on the stage.

And generally my everyday/work/gig outfits are the same

Ergh, I come from roughly the same area as he does and that gorky hobbit fuckbrain gives East Anglia a bad name.

Maybe if he didn't make vapid forgettable pop nonsense we'd all have more respect for him. I also find his face kinda annoying. Very punchable.
