I've shared this before and know some of you said you enjoyed it so here's an update. For some reason my band seems to be on a mission with the output levels we're maintaining. This is our third little record in just over a year. Yet again we recorded this all ourselves, live-tracked in our rehearsal space.
We have all the equipment ourselves which helps and this time the drummers dad had lent him his mics - of which one was a vintage U87. What an absolute delight that thing was to use
Anyway. Gear used was my MIJ JM, AO60s Tele & Greco EG450 into a bi-amp setup of '67 Bassman and Orange AD5. Both recorded with Heil PR30's and AKG LDC's. Only 1 pedal was used (Analogman Sun Face) in one overdub, other than that it's amp overdrive for the whole thing. Bass was an American Pro II Jazz Bass into a Kemper (I think his patch is a blend of 59 Bassman and SVT? Not sure tbh) and then DI'd into the interfaces. Drums are an old Gretsch Kit, 60's brass Slingerland snare and a cluster of Paiste cymbals. Chris, the bassist, engineered it, Adam, our drummer, did all the mixing & I mastered it. The vintage U87 was used out front of the kit (and heavily compressed) and then on all the vocals. Oh, and we broke out and used an organ (Nord) and tambourine on some tracks.
It's a bit more varied than our last two. I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Another Mouser record....
Been getting bandcamp updates over the last few weeks as songs were released. These tracks give me big Elvis Costello vibes
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Sounds good so far.
You really are on a mission.
There can be really good energy in working quickly and committing to things.
I admire what y’all are doing. Putting out recordings and playing shows is what being in a band should be about first and foremost and that’s what you’re doing.
