Some alternate tunings are discussed in this video with Rick Beato.

Sound like Adam can’t quiiiite hear himself sing. Still pretty damn good.

Some of the best arrangers in rock music. The way the parts weave around and support each other is really fun to listen to.

No in-ears back then, and I think there were 4 different bands playing that night (it was filmed for TV), so the soundcheck may not have been as rigorous as normal. I agree the arranging is top notch with some epic transitions. The only trouble is it makes me question my own guitar playing now :)

This set from 1998 opens with Deep Seat which is probably my favorite of their tracks is PRETTY RAD also. I don't know if there is a "Peak" era as they still played the old songs live when they were on 99th dream's tour.

this tower records bit from 1998 is also killer:

Maelstrom is in this mini set.

I probably saw them 10 times in the 90's and they ALWAYS shredded

1992 in Vancouver with the OG rhythm section.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

Fantastic! Son of Mustang Ford from the first show is especially good.

I saw them in ‘98 in Dunedin. I’m not a fan of ESR or 99th, and thankfully they only played 1 & 2 songs off each respectively. Pretty unusual to only play 2 songs from the album they were touring, but maybe they thought due to distance and infrequency they tour NZ, to only play their top draw stuff. Lots of Raise was :-*

They still kill it live. I was only lucky enough to see them once in the ‘90s, but I think I’ve seen about five reunion shows, and they were all great. The two reunion records are also in the same league as their ‘90s records, which is saying a lot, because they recorded some of the best records of that decade.

Agreed. I miss that venue. I went to the "Goodbye Astoria" final gig and it was epic. Chaos and sorrow all rolled into one.

I haven't seen them LIVE reformed but I LOVE THOSE TWO RECORDS. next time they come through I will definitely be seeing them again. I agree with the caliber of those two being right up there with their other material. There are a few of his solo albums that touch the same level.
