As far as newer, post hc bands are concerned, fiddlehead and high vis are my two favs. Sometimes they lean more towards hc than post, but both hit the mark for me.
Hwm still gets a ton of rotation, the early stuff, skip the middle, the new what next, skip some more, and feel the void (even the cresswell joint finally settled in). Chris’ Ship thieves stuff is great too.
All the fugazi, lungfish, jets to Brazil (which I like better than jawbreaker…fight me), get high, daltonic, and I’ll drop leatherface in here too have elements and leanings one way or the next towards artsy post, poppier punk, or back to straight up hardcore that still resonate deeply with me today.
And if you were around New England for get high and daltonic, you should know that there’s a couple new six going on seven joints Josh and co just recorded, which I’m way psyched on.

Shellac too. Don’t lemme leave out shellac.

‘tis good.
is it though?

I like it.

Anyways, this thread reminded me of some cool eps from the 00s

Hitechjet - If You Take Anything (Spotify)

Juliana Theory - Music From Another Room (Spotify)

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I don’t love it all, but I appreciate that he’s going in some new directions.

I found a couple of their EPs on Bandcamp and liked them a lot, reminded me of Have Heart's Songs to Scream at the Sun.
