Forgive me. I haven't played guitar in a while, and some theory has gone out the window. I'm trying to learn this Morrissey song based on this YouTube video. My question is what tuning would the guitar be in based off of what the guitarist said? I first believed it would be E Flat, but now I'm starting to think it would be F Standard (half-step up from standard).
Help would be appreciated with this!

Re: What tuning is this song in?
If you put a capo on the first fret in E standard, your new tuning is in F and the new Gmaj shape would be called G#. If the song is in F#, the Gmaj shape would need the strings to be tuned down a half step to be at the correct pitch.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.
