Doing my first real gig tonight...it's been more than a decade!

Post by zhivago » Tue Sep 26, 2006 2:33 am

unbelievable, but I stayed away from being in bands for a decade, but tonight sees the debut of the full LeCain lineup, with yours truly on lead droney guitar!

oddly enough, I'm not particulary nervous.....the band's as tight as it'll ever be...considering we've  been together only 7 weeks!

we're doing 6 songs...we are second on the bill and we're supporting a US band called The Human Value...they sound really good...and they have their record release party, so it should be a fun night.

as far as the gear that will grace the stage....a tweed fender deluxe RI that I borrowed from a friend, a 70s hiwatt...and a couple of vintage Jazzmasters.

we thought it was best to get the guy who did our demo (Athlete soundguy) to do our sound tonight, so hopefuly it'll all go very well

wish me luck! :)

Luck wished!

So what I don't get: are yous LeCain or The Don't Wake Ups?

Make sure you run a line from the mixing desk to a tape deck or something. We want to listen. You might want to review.

we're LeCain....then the singer wanted it to be LECain and the Don't Wake-Ups...which noone really liked...so we went back to LeCain :)

(spinal tap moment!!) :D

eventualy all the tunes/friends on myspace will go to the www.myspace.com/lecainmusic page

till then... www.lecain.co.uk has up to date info, and also better sounding mp3s of the songs

I'll see what we can do recording-wise tonight.......

Then we figured we could go back to being the Originals, but what's the point?

All the Best John!  :)
