wow, the strokes + rocket - amazing!

I tried to get in to see Trail of Dead a few years ago, but it was an 18+ venue, and i couldn't get in. I absolutely LOVED them at the time, so it was amazing to get another chance to see them. From what Conrad was saying in the interview, it looks like the next album (which he's ready to do apparently) is gonna be a return to noise :)

next show i got is in York, next friday, with a sit-in drummer we haven't practiced with yet.
we've been losing drummers like Spinal Tap lately.
we'll give him one practice to learn everything for the show. rock&roll.

Murph's over on College Ave! I haven't played there in ten years almost to the day.  Part of the ceiling came down on me that night.
I'm gigging in York that night actually (at the Westgate) across town.
Destiny's in her evening gown; you're always running late.
You tell her she looks wonderful but she'll just have to wait.

We played Murph's a couple months ago. It's uh, pretty different than the places we usually play. Mostly clubs. But the stage is an ok size and the sound isn't too bad. Was the fiirst time I've ever really been to York... and I live in Lancaster.

The promoter of this show, i guess Murph's is his new base. He used to book shows mostly at the Chameleon, but something went down and they don't let him book the Lounge anymore. I don't mind playing around this area, only cos I'm usually the one that always has to travel the most. But we have three members in Philly, two in Brooklyn... it's kinda weird for them to come all the way out here for a gig in semi-biker bar.

I might get Shins tickets for the 28th of March too.
....I just want to say "Oh Mandy" is a true pop gem.  I have loved that song ever since our singer put it on a mix CD that I played until everyone was sick of it(or was it me they were sick of?)...we rented a mandolin recently for some demo recordings we are doing and that was the first song we played with it...love it!

Just watch that low ceiling!  I did a relatively minor jump and my Les Paul headstock took out a ceiling tile, showering crap all over everything.  Probably asbestos.  Our drummer lives in York, so we rehearse there and do some shows in different sized clubs, although most of our shows are in the Harrisburg area.  Agreed that York is a LONG way to come from Brooklyn!  The Chameleon is a completely different story-although I haven't been there in ten years or more.

YESSSSSS!

My new band has a show!  Opening the English Fest (some excuse to lsten to music and drink having something to do with words and college) concert in Eau Claire. I guess I've reached a pretty decent point where i just have to call the bar, give 'em a quick idea of the band, and get me a show!  IM LIKE A GODDAMN POWER BROKER IN THIS TOWN!

Hopefully this time they l et us use the stage.
I prefer their older stuff.

For any Londoners about here, Jedi Jane play the Windmill in Brixton on the 13th (that's this friday) with Cutaways and V//Formation as part of the Northern Ireland: Next Generation festival - come on down for some noise attacks and jazzmasters ahoy :D

Doors at 8, £4 in. There's buckfast on tap, too...
